O’Connor told the Compass that, while he welcomes the fame, his true satisfaction comes from doing a job well.

Officer O’Connor was photographed giving a toddler a police escort across a busy intersection along the waterfront two years ago.

Last month, the image was posted online by the child’s mother. Since then, it has been viewed and shared thousands of times across social media and continues to garner interest both locally and abroad.
