Civil servant term limits move forward

The addiction to work permits, revenue, and huge surpluses has created an unhealthy and unfair level of employment competition.

This has led to a reality in which qualified Caymanians are overlooked, underemployed, or outright discriminated against in their own country. This government says: enough is enough.

We will no longer tolerate this — not from the private sector, not from the public sector, and not from any employer in our country.

Acting Deputy Governor Gloria McField-Nixon piloted the bill and says succession planning is being addressed to ensure essential services are not interrupted by the term limits.
