Coast guard graduation

Out of 200 applicants, 13 recruits are now officially a part of the Cayman Islands Coast Guard. Mark Westin has the story.

Thirteen young Caymanians charted a new course in their nautical careers on Friday, having graduated from the Cayman Islands Coast Guard training programme.

This is the third cohort to join the ranks of the Cayman Islands Coast Guard. The first cohort graduated in 2021 with sixteen members — among them, Sub-Lieutenant Erica Nicole, who was the appointed trainer for this class.
