Search continues for missing Compass Media journalist
As of Thursday afternoon, Compass Media journalist Andrel Harris remains missing.
Harris, 34, of Hirst Road, Newlands, was reported missing on Wednesday after not attending work that day. Police said in a press release on Wednesday that he was last seen in the area of Pedro Castle Road, Bodden Town, at approximately 9:30pm, Tuesday, 3 June.
On Thursday afternoon, the police also issued a ‘missing person alert‘ on social media about Harris and a meeting was scheduled for 3pm at Cayman Islands Baptist Church for people involved in the search efforts. A volunteer signup sheet was distributed online for people interested in contributing to the search efforts.
Thursday’s missing person alert advised the public that no photos or videos are permitted while assisting with the search.
The police requested that anyone who has seen Harris or knows of his whereabouts to call 911 or the Bodden Town Police Station at 947-2220. On Thursday, police added two more telephone numbers people could call if they had any information about his whereabouts: 945-4624 or 949-6555.
