Costal works approved for Morgan’s Hardbour dock
Premier Andre Ebanks posted a photo of the approved licence being delivered to Planning Minister Jay Ebanks.
It is in the Planning Ministry’s remit to repair the public docks.
Remnants of the original damaged dock in West Bay are to be removed prior to construction of the new one. The existing piles are to be removed and disposed of onshore. In addition to this, a sunken sailboat next to the existing dock will be removed from the site. It is expected that the construction of the dock will take place from a barge.
We reached out to the Ministry for a timeline for the repair work. We are awaiting a response.

Fifteen students from local schools in Cayman got a first-hand look at life on board a Disney Cruise Line ship as part of a Junior Achievement career exploration initiative this month.
The students, along with four chaperones, met with Disney team members, including the iconic Mickey and Minnie, while getting a guided tour of the Disney Treasure ship and lunch on board.
They are taking part in the Chamber of Commerce Junior Achievement Company Programme, which empowers high school students to launch and run their own businesses, with guidance from private-sector advisors.
