Danny Kish sets new Cayman swimming record
Cayman swimmer Danny Kish, 17, set a new national and Cayman Islands Aquatic Sports Association record at the Sussex County Short Course Championships in England.
Competing in the 100-metre butterfly of the 15-17 age group, Kish wiped away his own previous record of 55.33 seconds – achieved at the 2025 Orkney International Island Games – securing a new time of 54.76 seconds.
Kish expressed immense pride in his recent accomplishment saying, “It makes me proud knowing that I get to push the boundaries for Cayman swimming and inspire younger swimmers to break my records in the future just like I look up to people like Jordan Crooks and the Fraser brothers.
