PAHO warns of chikungunya spread

The Pan American Health Organization has issued an alert over a rise in mosquito-borne illnesses across the region.

In its latest notice, PAHO reports that the largest outbreaks of chikungunya this year have been concentrated in South America and parts of the Caribbean.
