Premier and chief justice to speak at major financial services conference

Premier André Ebanks and Chief Justice Margaret Ramsay-Hale are to make keynote speeches at a major financial services summit in Cayman later this year.

It will be the first time Ramsay-Hale, who will highlight the judicial system’s role in shaping the country’s business world, has spoken at the Spectrum event, which will mark its fifth anniversary this year.

Paul Byles, the founder of the event and creator of Cayman management services firm FTS, said the event has become an important platform for dialogue between regulators and the financial services industry.

He added, “Spectrum brings together regulators, standard-setting bodies, financial services professionals and others to discuss current and emerging trends.

“Our aim is to promote thought leadership and support the continued development of the industry in a positive, solution-focused environment.”
