Roadkill surge threatens rock iguana population

The rock iguana is unique to Cayman Brac and Little Cayman.

The Department of Environment (DoE) says the increase in roadkill poses a significant threat to the rock iguanas’ vulnerable populations.

Drivers are urged to observe speed limits in areas where rock iguanas are present, especially during the nesting season.
