TCCP Youth Council
We’re shining a spotlight on young people working to bring youth voices to the political table. This is nothing new in Cayman — parties had active youth arms throughout the 2000s.
While those efforts quieted down over time, there’s been a resurgence in organising young people around party politics.
Joining me now to discuss what their party is doing to get young people involved are Premier and Leader of the Caymanian Community Party, the Honourable André Ebanks, TCCP Youth Chair Leanni Tibbetts, and TCCP Youth Administrator Milo Dack.

Young Caymanians gain financial literacy skills
Twenty-eight young Caymanians recently became the first group to complete the Youth Financial Literacy Programme led by the National Youth Commission in partnership with the Youth Services Unit and the Ministry of Youth, Sports, Culture and Heritage.
Launched in February, the programme is aimed at equipping young Caymanians between the ages of 14 and 25 with essential financial skills to support their transition into adulthood. From understanding how to budget and save to exploring investing, retirement planning and cryptocurrencies, the course prepares these young people for real-world financial challenges and opportunities.
Centred around the McGill Personal Finance Essentials course, the programme includes an online three-hour course comprising eight core modules, along with two bonus modules. A final in-person assessment is required to complete the programme and attain the monetary award.
