URCO approves new satellite framework

The Utility Regulation and Competition Office has released its final decision on a new licensing framework designed to accommodate satellite-based telecommunications providers.

The revised framework will allow for global companies, including Starlink, Amazon and Viasat, to apply for licenses to operate in the Cayman Islands.
