Danny Kish sets new Cayman swimming record
Cayman swimmer Danny Kish, 17, set a new national and Cayman Islands Aquatic Sports Association record at the Sussex County Short Course Championships in England.
Competing in the 100-metre butterfly of the 15-17 age group, Kish wiped away his own previous record of 55.33 seconds – achieved at the 2025 Orkney International Island Games – securing a new time of 54.76 seconds.
Kish expressed immense pride in his recent accomplishment saying, “It makes me proud knowing that I get to push the boundaries for Cayman swimming and inspire younger swimmers to break my records in the future just like I look up to people like Jordan Crooks and the Fraser brothers.
“I also love to raise awareness for Cayman swimming whilst competing in England like my other Caymanian teammates swimming overseas,” he added.
