CIMA permit exemption raised

Premier André Ebanks defended the government’s decision to exempt the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority from work-permit requirements for senior roles as he spoke before Finance Committee on Thursday. The new rules take effect next year.

Deputy Opposition Leader Kenneth Bryan questioned the changes, but Premier Ebanks said they are needed.
