Group A rivalry in primary school football league
Saturday, 18 Oct., saw a significantly reduced schedule for week five of the CUC Primary Football League as most schools in Grand Cayman were out for mid-term break.
Due to an increase in the number of schools participating in the boys’ group A this year, organisers decided to schedule a limited number of games.
In the under-9 game, a dominant Island Primary team defeated their hosts Marie Martin Primary School with a 5-1 victory.
In the under-11 match, Marie Martin Primary and Island Primary, battled for the top spot in group A.
