Cayman women to open CONCACAF qualifiers match at home
In less than seven weeks, Cayman will host Bermuda in its opening match of the CONCACAF W Qualifiers set to kick off at the Truman Bodden Sports Complex on 27 Nov. at 7pm.
The Cayman ladies have been drawn into group C, a pool that also includes Costa Rica, Guatemala and Grenada.
CIFA Women’s Technical Director Martha Godet expressed the significance of starting at home in a recent press release.
“It’s always special to play at home, especially when it’s the first match of a major tournament. This group gives us a chance to test ourselves against some of the best programmes in the region while continuing to develop our squad. The players are excited, focused, and ready to represent the Cayman Islands with pride,” Godet said.
