Frank Sound Road speed limit
Drivers on Frank Sound Road – better check their speedometers.
The limit has been dropped from 50 to 40 miles per hour from Bodden Town Road to Botanic Road.
The adjustment comes in response to safety concerns for pedestrians, cyclists, and school buses, especially near the Botanic Park.
The new limit came into effect yesterday with the installation of new speed signs in the area.
Motorists are urged to use caution and to follow all posted limits.

Speed limit reduction implemented for much of Frank Sound Road
The speed limit for much of Frank Sound Road has been reduced from 50mph to 40mph, according to the National Roads Authority.
The reduction has taken effect along the expanse of Frank Sound Road from Bodden Town Road/Seaview Road to Botanic Road.
“This adjustment comes as part of ongoing efforts to improve road safety in residential and high-traffic areas,” the NRA said in a press release.
“The decision to reduce the speed limit follows a review of traffic patterns, accident data and community feedback indicating the need for safer travel speeds along this stretch of road, which is frequently used by school buses, cyclists and pedestrians, especially near the Botanic Park and local residences.”
