Inclement weather conditions disrupt primary school football action
Week four of the CUC Primary Football League and Girls’ Primary Football League was heavily impacted by inclement weather on 11 Oct., resulting in fewer matches and the need to abandon or postpone others.
In group A of the Primary Football League, Sir John A. Cumber Primary School visited Joanna Clarke Primary School in Savannah and emerged with one victory from their two games.
Both teams in the under-9 division kicked off the early game in favourable conditions but were met with ‘turbulent weather’ halfway through the game.
Despite the challenging circumstances, the officials and coaches agreed to continue the match, which saw Joanna Clarke Primary ultimately defeat Sir John A. Cumber Primary 9A with a score of 2-1.
