Cayman prepares for World Cup Qualifier matches
The anticipation is building as the Cayman Islands men’s national team gears up for its next two group play matches against Bermuda and Honduras next month in the CONCACAF 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
The team made history last year by securing a 1-0 win against Antigua and Barbuda in its first match for round one. In that game, Trey Ebanks delivered a brilliant cross, and Joshwa Campbell put it away with a header, finding the back of the net.
This first ever World Cup qualifier win for the national team was secured on home soil at the Truman Bodden Sports Complex on 8 June 2024.
Earlier this year, the Cayman team travelled to Portugal where they played three friendlies with domestic clubs, including GD Prado, SC Braga and FC Vizela.
