Both 19-year-old athletes participated in short course metres freestyle events against strong international fields, with Allison competing in Westmont, US, from 17-19 Oct. and Macdonald in Toronto, Canada from 23-25 Oct.
Allison’s focus at the Westmont stop was the 50, 100, and 200-metre freestyle events.
He achieved two personal bests, with 1:46.50 seconds in heat five of the 200m freestyle and 22.68 seconds in heat three of the 50m freestyle. Additionally, he swam a time of 49:05 in heat six of the 100m freestyle.
