The Poinciana Rehab Centre is right on time for this year’s World Mental Health Day, with an open house facility tour on Friday, 10 October.
The awareness day takes place on 10/10 every year as a reminder of the importance of maintaining good mental health and prioritising investments towards mental well-being as a community.

Dogs get break from full animal shelter at ‘Puppy Rodeo’
The Cayman Islands Humane Society held its latest ‘Puppy Rodeo’ over the weekend, showcasing some of the pups and dogs at its shelter.
Saskia Salden, a director at the Humane Society, said the event, held at The Roost in George Town on Saturday, 4 Oct., gave potential fosters and adopters a chance to see the animals outside of the shelter, which is currently full.
She told Compass Media, “This is an adoption event. Our end goal to get dogs adopted. Some people don’t want to come to the shelter, so this is a perfect situation and opportunity for people to come and meet them in a different environment, [which is] not as stressful as the shelter.”
