Flood advisory issued for Grand Cayman

The Cayman Islands National Weather Service issued a flood advisory for the Grand Cayman on Tuesday, 9 June.

“A tropical wave is expected near the Cayman Islands today,” the National Weather Service said when it issued the flood advisory at 11.15am.

“Due to rainy conditions, some areas across Grand Cayman may already be saturated. An additional 1.5 inches of rainfall is anticipated this afternoon into tomorrow. Heavy showers are expected along with possible thunder.”
