A new WORC jobs report points to growing demand in healthcare and skilled trades, as officials encourage young Caymanians to pursue training and education aligned with the evolving needs of the local workforce.
Inmates leaving prison have previously faced difficulties opening bank accounts, creating challenges in securing employment, housing and insurance. With this issue now resolved, the Home Affairs Ministry is appealing to the community to give those leaving prison a second chance.
Caymanian golfer Aaron Jarvis has been playing professionally since March. After making the transition, Jarvis — the 2022 Latin America Amateur Champion and the first Caymanian to compete at The Masters Tournament — has already competed in four professional tournaments this year.

Stars from across Cayman honoured at 2026 Stingray Tourism Awards
Past, present and future stars of the tourism industry were honoured at the 2026 Stingray Tourism Awards held at the Grand Cayman Marriott Resort on 9 May.
The event, hosted by the Cayman Islands Tourism Association, celebrated individuals who made standout contributions to the industry, with 49 nominees and 11 award winners, including a lifetime achievement and long service awards.
