Community asks for engagement from community police officers
Over the Easter school holiday, a senior politician and community police officers found themselves on a basketball court in Windsor Park, shooting hoops with young people from the neighbourhood.
It was, said MP and Deputy Premier Gary Rutty, the kind of positive interaction between officers and youth that Cayman has been lacking in recent years.
Less than two weeks later, officials were back on the court after reports that someone had driven an electric bike across the surface, burning tire tracks into the fresh asphalt and knocking down a light pole.
