The Humane Society in George Town is built for around 100 animals — right now it’s caring for 161. Board member Natasha Rocha says overpopulation and peak breeding season are driving the surge, and with the shelter full, she’s urging the community to adopt, foster responsibly, and prioritise spaying and neutering as the long-term fix.
According to data gathered by The Breast Cancer Foundation, they say 70% of diagnosis for breast cancer are stage one and below. This is attributed to early intervention campaigns.
