A barracuda has been caught near Governors Beach today, according to the Department of Environment.
Though a necropsy needs to be done to examine its stomach contents, the fish is believed to be responsible for two separate bite incidents in recent weeks.
The government is reminding the public that incidents of this kind are rare, though they encourage beachgoers to remain vigilant and aware of their surroundings while enjoying the sea.
With one week to go before new fees are set to take effect, the Department of Vehicle and Drivers Licensing announces a one-day closure on Monday the 31st of August. According to DVDL, all Grand Cayman offices will be closed for training.

Communication devices banned in Cayman government schools
Government school students will be prohibited from using cellphones and other personal communication devices when classes resume this week, as education officials move to eliminate what teachers and parents have described as a significant source of classroom distraction.
