In the wake of last week’s double-earthquake in Venezuela, a global effort is taking place to send immediate aid to the country. Cayman’s Red Cross is partnering with its international colleagues by launching a donation appeal to support survivors.
Effective July 1st, Marlon Bodden will be the new director of Customs Border Control. Mr. Bodden has over three decades of law enforcement experience and replaces outgoing CBC Director Bruce D. Smith who is said to be retiring in August.

Cayman police officers lag behind Bermuda on pay rates
Cayman police officers are underpaid compared with their counterparts in Bermuda, which could affect recruitment, a comparison of pay scales for new constables reveals.
Constables at the start of their careers in Cayman can expect to take home about US$60,621 a year – more than US$18,890 less than their Bermuda equivalent.
