Little Cayman UNESCO bid raises landowner fears
Little Cayman’s bid for UNESCO World Heritage status has been pitched as an opportunity to have the island and its pristine coral reefs recognised among the natural wonders of the world.
But the application has attracted opposition from some landowners who fear a bid that also includes Little Cayman’s land could lead to restrictions on private property rights.
