Government reviewing future of Cayman Islands Development Bank
The Ministry of Finance and Economic Development has issued a request for proposals for an external consultant to review the Cayman Islands Development Bank.
The document reveals that “concerns have been identified” about the bank, which provides cheaper financing for housing, education and small business development, and that the government is considering all options, including abolishing the institution.
