Cayman banks on longer vacations for visitors
The Cayman Islands is banking on longer vacations and deeper visitor engagement with the launch of its 2025 summer tourism campaign, ‘Caution: Book Responsibly’.
The focal point of the promotion – stay seven nights for the price of six – was unveiled at the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association’s Caribbean Travel Forum, held 19 May at Sandals Grande Antigua, and is part of a broader strategy to compete for high-value travellers during the peak summer season.
The campaign, part of Cayman’s summer promotion, aligns with a growing shift in global travel behaviour.
Travellers are increasingly opting for longer vacations and more immersive trips, and are spending more while they’re at it, according to Mastercard’s Global Travel Trends 2025 report. Skift Research has similarly dubbed 2025 “the year of long getaways”, underscoring a global appetite for vacations that offer more than just a brief escape.
