Karthik Adapa set for World Championships in Jakarta
Caymanian gymnast Karthik Adapa is fine-tuning his preparations as he gears up for the FIG Gymnastics World Championships in Jakarta, taking place from 19–26 October.
He told the Compass it’s time to put his best foot forward once again — this time against the world’s best.

Pickleball tournament raises funds to support Caymanian careers
The second annual Connect by Nova Pickleball Tournament generated more than $7,500, directly supporting its mission to help Caymanians achieve long-term career success.
Pickleball players gathered on 25 Sept. for an afternoon filled with friendly competition, fun and connection, while raising funds through player entry fees and a community raffle.
“Pickleball is about connection – it’s fast, fun and inclusive – and that’s exactly what Connect is about too,” said Jasmine Zerjal, voluntary head of events for Connect in a press release.
“This tournament not only gave players a chance to showcase their talents and enjoy the game but also provided the perfect opportunity to meet new people, catch up with friends and get back on the exercise wagon.
