Team Cayman win four golds today in Orkney
We’re continuing to watch our athletes over in Orkney at the 2025 Island Games. It’s day three of the competition. Swimming, squash, sailing, badminton, and gymnastics were all in action today.
Team Cayman closed the day strong, with the squash team dominating across the board. The women’s, men’s, and mixed doubles teams all won gold in their respective categories.
In swimming, Will Sellars placed 3rd in the 200-metre backstroke final, and James Allison won gold in the 100-metre freestyle.

Cayman female squash players sweep medals at Island Games
Cayman’s squash players swept the board, winning gold, silver and bronze in the women’s singles on Tuesday at the International Island Games in Orkney.
The squash players’ impressive performances, along with a strong showing by Cayman’s gymnasts and swimmers, bring the islands’ tally to 17 medals, with three more days of competition ahead.
