Teen held in jewellery store robbery

A teenager has been charged with armed robbery after targeting a George Town jewellery store. Caribbean Gold was hit on Saturday.

Police say the teen walked in with a hammer and what appeared to be a gun, smashed open the display cases, and grabbed jewellery.

A staff member tried to stop him, leading to a physical struggle. The suspect was later arrested. He appeared in court on Monday.
